For more than 50 years, Walton Regional Medical Center has provided healthcare services including same day surgery, emergency and critical care, and a birth center for Walton County residents and visitors.

George Walton Academy is a coeducational, independent, non-profit, college-preparatory day school founded in 1969. The school has more than 1000 students in K4-12th grades. The academy serves students from Walton and surrounding counties.

Walton County Public Schools consist of nine elementary, three middle, and two high schools plus one alternative school, a performance learning center, and the Walton Career Academy.
